Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
